Leighlin Bridge Village - One of the oldest bridges in Ireland.

About 4.5K walking along river bank(5 min drive) from Royal Oak Bridge(turn right), you end up at Leighlin Bridge Village(via Bagenalstown). Pop out here you will find Brennans pub/shop, with the "Lord Bagenal Hotel" (very popular with weddings, 5 minutes drive away).

Borris

The Viaduct

Fantastic views - Go walking along it.

The Borris Railway Viaduct with its sixteen arches supported by soaring limestone pillars is one of Ireland's best example of pioneering 19th. Century railway engineering. Designed by the engineer William Le Fanu (1816– 1894) and built by M. Talbot. The Viaduct rises to 60ft high and spans the Borris and Mountain River Valley. It was built at a cost of £20,000 and completed in 1860. -

About 10 minutes drive for mattys pub.

Kilkenny City (Tourist page)

Kilkenny is popular tourist destination, about a 15 minute drive from us here. So much to do in this ancient city.
Recommended !!! Go see Kilkenny.

Goresbridge – About 9K from us on the Track Line from Royal oak bridge (turn left). 30 minutes on the bike. The village itself has some local pubs and shops for you to explore. Its also the location of one of the biggest horse sales event(s) in the country. If you keep walking you will end up in Borris, then onto Graiguenanagh.
